Don't download the update instead, copy & paste your modded assets folder into the same place where you got the assets folder, overwriting anything from the game. Then, whenever you get an update or clear the Cache, open the app, & wait until you get to the update screen. We recommend you keep backups of all your data (copy & paste the assets folder to somewhere safe) so that you can be prepared for any other updates Nintendo decides to push. Nintendo can delete that cache at their own free will, so be prepared for that. How do I get them back?Ī: You see, creating mods for the game edit the Cache of the game, which is why you see that the updates are usually a hefty file size. I just got an update after adding my mods to the game & it wiped out all of my mods. There are some things we are trying to figure out as well, such as text mods (changing the text on the characters), but since SciresM on Twitter/GBATemp/GitHub won't answer me on how to change the text in the game, we're still left in the dust on how to create text mods for the game. What kind of mods do you guys do, then?Ī: We do texture (unit, weapons etc), sound (voices, music etc), & animation swap mods (giving another character someone else's animations).

Orbs/Hero Feathers are server-side, meaning only Nintendo can give them out to us & not by means of editing your data.
